In Ecuador, internet connection service is done through the telephone; there are very few internet cafes that have wide band service. You should take this detail into account in order to have sufficient time to navigate the web knowing that it can sometimes take double the time. Rates vary between 80 cents and $1.00 the hour depending on the service and connection and number of computers.

There are also places that have cafeteria service, book exchange, and net game rooms where you can also communicate and have fun on line. The Net2phone service is available in all of the internet cafes.

The hotels and hostals that are most widely known have internet service available in the main cities. If you are in a town or small city with a lot of tourism, you can find at least one internet site.
