"Tan Solo Quédate"
|
The pop band Samsara was formed just two years ago by a group of students from the Colegio Don Bosco in Quito. With dedicated effort, the band has become one of the most played on local radio stations. The band's name was given to them by one of the member's sisters. Samsara originates from Hindu and means "wheel of possibilities."
Samsara plays rock ballads, latin rock and tropical music plus its own creations. Many of their songs have reached the number one spot in the Top 15 Songs of some local radio stations.
The members of the band are:
· Andrés Reyes (Drums)
· Juan Hidalgo (Percussion)
· Julio César Pérez (Bass)
· Santiago Sarzosa (Tecaldos and Vocals)
· Mauricio López (Guitar and Vocals)
· Byron Yánez (Lead Vocals)
The band dreams of becoming more popular in Ecuador and around the world, hoping to one day become a true musical icon of Ecuador. "We always dream in three colors (yellow, blue and red)... We are from here and this is our product," states Byron.
Samsara currently has a demo CD with three of its most popular songs: "Sometimes I am Afraid," "Never Forget" and "Rip ME Apart." In November, the band hopes to have its first CD out for public consumption. GoEcuador wishes Samsara much luck and success in their upcoming projects. Here we present to our loyal MP3 fans the song, "Tan solo quédate."
