"La Reyes Banda"
|
The Reyes Band was formed on August 10.
1993 by eight Ecuadorians bound by a common love of tropical
music. Before coming together, Reyes Band memebers had
all belonged previously to some of best bands of Ecuador.
A few months after they formed, the band released its
first CD entitled La Banda Que Manda... Reyes Band, featuring
11 original tracks and a plethora of tropical rhythms
ranging from Cumbia Caribeña to Merengue and Zamba
Pop.
In the ensuing decade, their original
and eminently danceable songs gained them quite a following
in their native country. More recent CD's, including Con
Mucho Calor and Calienta - T, remain staples of local
and regional radio stations.
