Máximo Escaleras is one of the
most representative artists in the music known as Musica
Rockolera or “Jukebox Music” which is a special
style of music characterized by emotional lyrics The songs
are related to the deepest feelings of the popular soul.
The themes are about the human passions, love tricks and
affairs, disillusion, grief, regret, sorrow, and concern.
Máximo Escalera was born in Alamor,
in Puyango county, on the southern province of Loja. He
spent his childhood writing songs, which where used to
produce his first CD that was exclusively compose by his
own creations.
In 1988 he produces songs like Cargo
de conciencia, Rockolita de mis penas, Nina de mis suenos,
Semana de amor, all of this themes where very popular
and positioned in the first places of the top hits list.
In 1993, he presents his second CD with
songs like “Eres la razon de mi vida” this
theme turns into the symbol of his work and give Máximo
Escaleras the opportunity t perform all around Ecuador,
and several presentations in Colombia, Peru, Venezuela,
United States, Canada and Europe.
On his fifteen year career he has produce
the same number of CD’s, with diverse rithms as
pasillos, waltz, danzantes, tonadas, boleros, bachatas,
baladas, bombas, cumbias y rancheras. Most of his work
was done with his little dauhgter who sings with his father
in many songs.
Máximo Escaleras is an idol among
his fans, he has turn into the favorite songwriter and
singer of the popular national music. Everytime on stage
he captivates the people with its music that contains
the daily senses of life itself, making the crowd feel
from full happiness to sudden sadness. There is no doubt
that Máximo Escaleras is a great success.and identifies
himself with the popular fellings.
