|
Marco Villota is an Ecuadorian singer-songwriter
with an important national and international trajectory
who has played many different kinds of music, including
ballads, boleros, short step, pop, among others.
Marco began his music career at a very young age, however;
his first job as a professional singer-songwriter took
off in 1995 with the CD "Es la Vida" whose hit,
"Una Noche Mas" was received with a warm welcome
by radio stations in Quito and Quayaquil.
The Ecuadorian singer-songwriter is member,
vocalist, and composer of the band Pueblo Nuevo (1992),
which is one of the folk groups with great international
projection from Ecuador. His experience with Pueblo Nuevo

stage with such artists as Mercedes Sosa, Piero, and Silvio
Rodriguez in the "Todas las Voces Todas" concert
organized by the Guayasamin Foundation in 1996.
Villota has composed nearly 70 songs for various national
artists, some of which include Grafitti (Pueblo Nuevo),
Boda a la Luna, Pequeño Ramo de Luz, Manhattan,
and El Negro Antonio.
As a soloist he has had the honor of participating in
the concert opening for Victor Manuel and Ana Belen (Teatro
Nacional de la Casa de la Cultura), for Joan Manuel Serrat
(Teatro Nacional de la Casa de la Cultura) in Quito, and
for the Chilean singer-songwriter Alberto Plaza in Loja.
He is presently working on his second CD with the Colombian
