"Que Te Vas"

"El Retorno de Exxon Valdez " (The Return of Exxon Valdez) is an Ecuadorian Punk-Ska band of growing local popularity. The group was started in 1996 by Mateo Herrera, Juan Fernando Muñoz, José Miguel Mantilla, Pepe Germán and Mario Gonzáles.

The band's music and style are an original adaptation of prevalent themes found in ska and punk music. Their lyrics are mostly about the problems of identity and the difficult process of maturation. These are common themes for young adults in urban settings the world over and gives Exxon Valdez a universal appeal.

The song we present is "Que te vas" ("You are leaving"). The song was featured in the critically acclaimed movie "Ratas, Ratones y Rateros" by Ecuadorian director Sebastián Cordero.
