A new sound is mixed with the philosophy of the administration
of the Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana. It is a multiple
sound of joy and reflection; a music that contains an
infinite gama of multi-tone possiblities from our America.
Professional musicians from the guitar to percussion,
sax, and piano, to voices where magic and dexterity live,
help us decribe the musical rainbow that holds our affections
and our hopes, our melancholy, and our nostalgia. Not
only the classic, the modern, and the popular can be found
in this music group but also the water road, the tender
road, and the fraternal road where the spirit is able
to find itself. They are from the Casa de la Cultura,
and they are the SON DE LA CASA, the profound
sound heard everywhere the moment we open their doors
and windows to mix ourselves with music from abroad, the
one that always sounds in the minds of the people.
