Work with the local community in a coffee plantation, a sugar cane
plantation, with handicrafts and marmalade production, teaching

Sacha Foundation
Conservation of the environment. Jatun Sacha offers a
volunteer program with opportunities to develop a wide
variety of activities including reforestation, environmental
education, community service, plant conservation, agro-forestry,
field data collection and reserve maintenance in their
ten private reserves located throughout Ecuador.
The principal lines of action of the organization are
the conservation of eco-systems and cultural diversity
through their ten private biological reserves, environmental
education, sustainable development projects and research
that promotes the improvement of the quality of life of
the people living in the zones of influence of its activities.

The volunteer program of the Pasochoa wild life shelter
gets you involved in conservation & development jobs
in the area. Volunteer must speak some Spanish.
Among volunteer activities are: Species conservation,

Save an Hectare Project
Rainforest Rescue is a not-for-profit organization saving the world’s rainforests for current and future generations. Together with partner organizations, Rainforest Concern (UK) and Rainforest Information Centre (Aust) we are protecting cloudforests in northern Ecuador. Through the purchase of forested land we are saving countless plants and animals from the devastating effects of forest clearing, mining and unsustainable agriculture. Additional benefits of this project are the ecotourism initiatives and sustainable agriculture programs.

Shiripuno Research Center
The Shiripuno Research Center is situated in the most remote place of the Ecuadorian Amazon, behind Yasuni National Park and inside the Waorani Anthropological Reserve, 90 km (55,92 mi) south from Coca. The center is looking for volunteers, to work in the Butterfly Study, and making the Trail Network. From 1 month to 3 month stays.
