Ecuador's main supermarkets
The supermarket chain of Supermaxi is the most well known and largest in the country and has branches in the main cities of Ecuador. The Super-dispensers Aki are also part of Supermaxi but they only distribute to low income sectors and with reasonable prices.
Mi Comisariato (Hypermart) and Santa Maria are also excellent shopping options, it all depends on what is closest to your home and your personal tastes. Supermaxi as well as Mi Comisariato use membership cards that provide special discounts to its clients and it is recommended to fill out a form to get one.
