Seseribó Salsoteca
The hip dance club Seseribó is famous for being the first salsoteca in Quito. The club is located in the below ground floor of a building in the trendy La Mariscal neighborhood. A jailer's metallic door, framed by a deep red wall, provides an enticing entranceway to a subterranean world of passionate dance. But first, the legendary mulatto and eternal bouncer Humberto has to let you in! Entering the hallways, photographs, paintings, masks and other interesting objects cover the ochre tainted walls, columns and tables inundating one with a sense of¡sabor! The sound of drums, maracas and trumpets fill the space with Afro-Caribbean rhythms. Suddenly, as if summoned by a higher power, dozens of couples float onto the dance floor and begin to move their bodies in the intricate and sensual way typical of salsa. After a while, it becomes evident that Seseribó is an ideal place to admire the best salsa and son dancers in the city. ¡Caliente! Dirección: Ave Ventimilla 325 y 12 de Octubre Hora de apertura: 21:00 h a las 03:00 h
