DAY 1. – We leave Quito in the morning at 09:30 am; we take the Panamericana Sur until the entrance to the Cotopaxi National Park, here we will make a small stop to pay the entrance fee. We will drive our vehicle until the refuge’s parking lot located at 4.500 mts. Then we take our backpacks and walk towards the refuge Jose Rivas located at 4.800 mts. Here you will have a time to rest and then get ready for your practice in the glacier with our guide. Return to the refuge, rest and dinner. At 6 pm we will have a technical chat of the journey toward the summit.

DAY 2. - At midnight, we will get ready with all our gear for the climb that we will begin at 01:00 am. We will hike by the moraine until the glacier, we will put our crampons on and follow with our climb until the summit. This will take approximately 6 or 7 hours. If the day is clear you will have a breath taking view. Then we will descend and after 3 or 4 hours we will be getting to the refuge. After a well deserve rest we will return to Quito.
