The market in Otavalo is perhaps the most famous in the
country. At this market, one can find pieces from $0.50
cents to $500 depending on the type of artwork chosen.
Jewellery, clothes, hammocks, embroidery and musical instruments

Latacunga Market
Famous for its colourful indigenous products. A large
gathering of artists united in a true party of exotic
colours, sounds and smells.
Market days: Tuesday and Saturday.
Pujilí Market
A very colourful market. Pujilí is a small town
where the exchange of products is the main business. The
indigenous peoples from this place also sell handmade
ceramics. The most typical figures are the "alcancías"

Saquisilí Market
This market covers five independent plazas, you can appreciate
the activities of our indigenous peoples while selling
their agricultural and hand made products and their animals.
This market is located some 50 miles to the south of the
city of Quito.

Cotacachi Markets
The specialty of the town of Cotacachi is leather that
they work into jackets, bags and other accessories of
high quality and finely done.

If you can't travel to the indigenous markets due to time
constraints, the major cities offer stores and handicraft
centers where you can find things. The prices are reasonable
and there is a large variety of products from different
corners of the country.
